HPHA CEO says things are continuing to look better with COVID numbers down

There’s only one patient with COVID-19 in the Stratford General Hospital.

Andrew Williams, the CEO of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, says things are continuing to look better with COVID-19 numbers going down locally and the situation improving across Ontario.

He says they are ramping up non-elective patient services that were stopped during the pandemic and they are bringing them back in a very thoughtful, planned way.

Williams says he expects things will fully be back to the way they used to be by September.

“We expect to be back to full capacity, and then some I would expect, in the fall as we look forward to resuming normal services.”

Williams says the pandemic has been a long haul and he says his team is really looking forward to moving through the pandemic.
