New report looks best ways to support Ontario’s tourism industry

Reducing red tape four tourism businesses and restoring consumer confidence in visitors.

Those are two of the ten recommendations in a new report from the Tourism Economic Recovery Ministerial Task Force on how to support Ontario’s $36 billion tourism industry recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Details from the report were released Wednesday by the task force.

It also suggests new opportunities to showcase the best Ontario has to offer through itineraries, packages and trails that will make it easier to find local products and experiences.

Ontario will now review the recommendations and officials say the input will be critical to the development of the province’s strategic five-year plan
