Stratford Festival 2021 season to begin July 10th

We now have a start date for the 2021 Stratford Festival.

Officials at the festival say the province has issued its guidance for attendance at outdoor performing arts events which means 100 people, or 25 per cent capacity, will be able to attend a show in each of the festival’s new outdoor canopies.

Shows will run three times a day from July 10th until the end of September.

Another show, Three Tall Women, is being moved to later in the season and will take place in the Studio Theatre from August 10th to October 9th, assuming Ontario can transition into Phase 3 of its reopening plan.

Twenty-five people will be able to attend with the play’s two parts presented as separate performances, scheduled to be seen on the same day.

The current guidelines allow a daily maximum capacity of 600 people, compared to 7,000 when the Festival is fully operational in all four of its theatres.
