McPhail, Florence

Florence McPhail, 80, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at the Mitchell Nursing home on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

Florence is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Ross McPhail, and her  children: Heather and Bob Burrow, Valeri and Alec Scott, Ruth and Ken Morrison,  Bonnie and Jim Docking, and Bill and Kathy McPhail. She is also lovingly remembered by her 13 grandchildren:  and by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Doreen Taylor, Norman Dow, Lillian and Donald Hocking, Darwin and Doriene McPhail and fondly remembered by cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada and US.

Besides her parents, Florence was predeceased by her sisters and their husbands, Illa and Lloyd Barker and Velma and Clarence Shelley; and by sister-in-law Winnifred Dow and brothers-in-law, William (Bill)  McPhail, Nelson McPhail and Lorne Taylor.

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Thursday October 16, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be heldon Friday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom Dunbar officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in Roy’s Cemetery.
