Car stolen from Shakespeare driveway

The OPP is asking for your help in finding a stolen car.

Officers were called to three homes in Shakespeare on Wednesday.

Police say that sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. someone walked around the Webster, Regent and James Street area of Shakespeare checking to see if vehicle doors were unlocked.

A Regent Street resident had a black 2004 Volkswagen Jetta stolen from the driveway.

The car had been unlocked with a spare set of keys left inside.

It had Ontario licence plates 56F S73 attached to the front and rear.

If you have any information about this theft or the whereabouts of the stolen Jetta you’re asked to call the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
