Mrs. Katherine Helen Weigand, age 90, of Stratford passed away peacefully at Spruce Lodge surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Sebastian and Catharina (Meyer) Heinstein. Katherine married Elgin Weigand, October 1949 and predeceased her in 1957. Survived by her two wonderful children Rosemarie (Wayne) Priestap and Gordon Weigand. Loving Grandmother of Nathan Priestap (Lorraine Wieland fiancée) and Janelle Priestap. Survived by sisters Theresa Knoch and Mary (Roy) Ross. Katherine will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Katherine was predeceased by a brother-in-law Andrew Knoch. Prior to her retirement Katherine worked as a dietary aid at Stratford General Hospital. The family would like to thank the nurses at Bonnie Brae Nursing Home in Tavistock and Spruce Lodge in Stratford for the wonderful care and compassion given to our mother over the last eighteen months.
