A 58-year old man has drowned in the Trout Lake Quarry
First responders were called out to the quarry around 12:45 Wednesday afternoon for reports of a possible drowning.
Witnesses reported that a person went into the water from the shoreline and quickly began to struggle.
People nearby heard the victim calling for help and they were able to pull them onto shore where they started CPR.
The victim was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
A post mortem examination has been scheduled for Thursday.
