One of Stratford’s Pekin ducks has died

One of the white Pekin ducks in Stratford’s flock has died.

Officials say the duck was found over the weekend during regular river observations.

The ducks usually live between 8 and 10 years.

The two local ducks have been cared for by the City of Stratford since they were dropped off at the Avon River about five years ago as mature adults.
