Perth County OPP will be watching the roads closely this long weekend.
Police say their Civic Holiday Long Weekend Traffic Campaign runs from today (Friday) until Monday and they will be targeting what they call “The BIG 4”, aggressive driving, seatbelts, distracted driving and impaired driving.
They will also be focusing on the “Move Over” law which requires drivers to slow down and change lanes, if safe to do so, when approaching stopped emergency vehicle such as ambulances, police cruisers and fire trucks, as well as tow trucks.
Anyone who sees concerning driving behavior is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
