The Chateau Laurier Hotel is in lockdown. Media are not allowed to leave a secure area. There are reports of a heavy police presence is now moving down Sparks Street south past the National War Memorial. Police are expanding their lockdown area on Parliament. A C-B-C reporter says the Chateau Laurier is a bit quieter now and police are considering it a safe location. There are unconfirmed reports of police still searching for one or possibly two other gunmen. One shooter is confirmed dead.
