Power outages throughout the region

The worst of the freezing rain appears to be over.

However, many local residents are still in the dark.

Hydro One crews continue to work around the clock to get power restored after heavy freezing rain on the weekend knocked down tree branches and power lines.

As of this morning, nearly 2500 residents in and around Milverton are without power as are thousands of residents in the area stretching from Palmerston and Harriston over to Drayton and Elora.

There are isolated outages in Mitchell, Gads Hill and along Road 119.

Hydro crews are working to turn the lights back on as soon as possible.
