CMHA revoking charter of local branch

The Canadian Mental Health Association is revoking the charter of its branch in Huron Perth over what it calls “lost faith”.

The CMHA Ontario says its formally terminating the agreement it has with the local branch effective six months from now.

It means the Huron Perth branch won’t be able to use the CMHA name, logo or brand beyond January 30th 2022.

In a statement, the CMHA Ontario’s Board of Directors says it has lost faith that CMHA Huron Perth will take action to live up to the standards and high quality of care required of a CMHA branch.

It says it has been trying to work with the local chapter but, despite their best efforts, the branch has instead responded through legal counsel.
