Romeo Street paving scheduled to start Thursday

Here’s something to be aware of if you’re in Stratford.

Paving work on Romeo Street is scheduled to start Thursday with the south section of the street, between Lorne Avenue and Norfolk Street.

Early next week, work will continue on the north section of Romeo Street, from Arden Park to Vivian Line 37.

Officials say the section in front of the Stratford Golf and Country Club is also being done, but requires additional work beyond just the resurfacing.

That’s why it is being treated separately.

All of the asphalt will be removed from that section this week, the base will be evaluated, and a subdrain added.

There will be lane reductions in place but two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the work.

Drivers should still be prepared for delays.

The paving is expected to be completed by the end of next week.
