A 29-year-old Huron East woman faces charges after police say she assaulted an officer.
Huron County OPP say they received a call about a person causing a disturbance on Huron Road in Clinton just before 4 o’clock in the afternoon on August 15th.
Police say an officer found the woman in the middle of the road swinging a weapon in the direction of residents and vehicles.
The officer says the woman then approached them and swung the weapon, narrowly missing the officer.
She was arrested after a short chase and now faces charges including Assault a Peace Officer and Causing a Disturbance.
She has a court appearance scheduled for Friday.
