HPPH issues recommendations for return to school

Huron Perth Public Health is recommending COVID-19 health and safety precautions for the return to school.

The health unit says their precautions are to be used along with the minimum standards that have been laid out by the province but says they should be followed to enhance the health and safety in area schools.

Among the precautions is masking being strongly recommended for Junior and Senior Kindergarten students, including on school vehicles, no indoor assemblies being held until the number of cases in the region declines for four consecutive weeks and singing in music classes only being allowed within a cohort and with masking required.

The Avon Maitland District School Board says it will be following the guidance from HPPH.
