Perth County OPP warning drivers about deer collisions

Be on the lookout for deer.

The OPP says they’ve been called to 22 vehicle/deer collisions in Perth County this month.

This time of the year is when there is the highest number of deer collisions, starting in October and then peaking in November.

Most of the incidents happen from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. but they could happen at any time.

The OPP says things like slowing down and being cautious in areas with high deer population can reduce your risk of hitting one.
