HPHA approves tougher COVID-19 vaccination policy

All staff with the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the end of next month.

The only exceptions will be for people with medical exemptions.

HPHA officials say they have approved the organization’s immunization policy and they say it goes further than the minimum standards laid out by the province.

As of October 28th, those who aren’t vaccinated and don’t have an exemption will be placed on a two-week unpaid leave of absence.

Those who still don’t meet the requirements after that will be deemed to have resigned from their position.
