Hydrant flushing taking place in Stratford

Your water could be discolored over the next few days depending on what part of the city you live in.

City officials say fire hydrants are being flushed over the next six weeks.

Crews will be in the Erie Street, Cambria Street, Greenwood Drive, Campbell Court, Norwood Drive and Kener Crescent area on Monday.

The flushing is typically done twice a year in the spring and the fall for maintenance and to remove any iron that may have settled in the water mains.

Water quality isn’t affected but you should wait and make sure it’s cleared before doing laundry.
