Stratford Fire Department reminding residents about CO detectors

The Stratford Fire Department is reminding everyone about carbon monoxide detectors.

It’s now the law in Ontario to have them installed in your home.

A working CO alarm must be adjacent to each sleeping area.

Single-family homeowners have until April 15th to comply.

The Stratford Fire Department will be enforcing this law, which carries with it a fine of up to $100,000.
