Man arrested after ditching pickup truck

A West Perth man faces charges after he ditched his pickup truck.

Early Friday night an OPP officer was called to the scene on Road 150 south of Highway 8 between Sebringville and Mitchell.

The police say the man that was with the truck was showing signs of impairment.

He was taken to the Perth County OPP detachment and failed two breath tests.

The 25-year-old was charged with having the care or control of a vehicle while impaired and “care or control over 80 mgs.”

He has a court date set for January 27th in Stratford to face the charges.
