Our community is being asked to come together and help those in need.
This year’s United Way Perth-Huron annual campaign officially starts Friday with the announcement of its fundraising goal.
Ten restaurants in the area will have United Way-inspired meals and you’re being invited to pick one up for lunch and watch the the goal being announced on Facebook at 12:30.
Stratford Deputy Mayor and Chair of the United Way’s Stratford and Area Community Committee, Martin Ritsma, says the campaign provides support for people who really need it.
“I’m so excited about another campaign and seeing the changes that this will make in so many lives through the work of the United Way Perth-Huron.”
Last year’s campaign raised a record total of $1.96 million.
