Western University officials say they have a culture problem they need to address.
A new action plan has been announced at the London based post-secondary institution with officials saying it will increase safety and security on campus by hiring new special constables, enhance security patrols and implement mandatory in-person sexual violence training for all students in residence.
Allegations made on social media last weekend claimed as many as thirty female students were drugged and sexually assaulted in a residence and London Police are now investigating.
School officials say a Task Force on Sexual Violence and Student Safety is also being created to better understand and eradicate sexual violence and create a campus culture where the actions are prevented.
