Fourteen people charged after large drug bust in the Stratford area

Fourteen people face charges after a large drug bust in the area.

Waterloo Regional Police, along with Stratford Police and Woodstock Police, executed search warrants in Cambridge, Kitchener, Stratford and St.Marys on September 15th.

Warrants were completed in the following areas of Waterloo Region and Perth County:

  • Wilson Avenue in Kitchener
  • Saginaw Parkway in Cambridge
  • Old Huron Road in Kitchener
  • Ontario and Waterloo Streets in Stratford
  • Front and Ontario Streets in Stratford
  • Warwick Road in Stratford
  • Nile Street in Stratford
  • McNab Street in Stratford
  • Water Street South in St. Marys

It was part of a six-month investigation that led to the seizure of suspected illegal drugs including more than 5,300 grams of meth and 400 grams of cocaine.

The street value of the drugs is more than $760,000.

Police also seized $560,000 in cash and about $100,000 in alleged proceeds of crime.

None of the people charged have been identified but police say they face a total of 90 drugs and weapons charges.
