Police: Stratford man charged in human trafficking investigation

Stratford Police say a 34-year-old man faces charges in connection to a human trafficking investigation.

Police say they arrested the man last Thursday for the incidents that date back to 2012.

SPS says a woman contacted them earlier this month and reported she had been a human trafficking victim with the incidents taking place throughout the summer and fall until she was able to escape from her captors around Thanksgiving.

Investigators were able to identify the accused who turned himself in to police and he now faces several charges including Trafficking a Person Under the age of 18.

He’s scheduled to appear in court in November.
