Family and caregivers will soon need to show proof of being vaccinated at HPHA hospitals

Family and caregivers will soon need to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to go to area hospitals.

As of November 1st, family and caregivers will need to provide government issued photo id and proof of full vaccination before entering any of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance hospital sites.

Those who have a valid medical exemption, signed by a doctor or nurse practitioner, will need to show their documentation when going to the hospitals.

Officials say the guidelines only apply to family and caregivers, not to patients, and you shouldn’t avoid getting medical care if you need it.
