OPP offering Halloween safety tips

It’s Halloween and the Perth County OPP has safety tips for drivers and trick-or-treaters.

The police say drivers need to be extra cautious as excited kids may forget the rules of the road and be oblivious to hazards.

Pay attention and don’t assume the children can see you.  Obey all speed limits and to not drive distracted.

Trick-or-treaters should bring a light of some kind with them and young ones should have an adult with them.

Wear makeup instead of a mask; remember to check both ways when crossing the road and to have an adult check your candy before you eat it.
