The City of Stratford now has a plan in place to cut down on its greenhouse gas emissions.
At a meeting Monday night, council voted to set emission reduction targets of thirty per cent by 2030 and net-zero by 2050.
The targets will be reviewed by city staff on an annual basis and updated as necessary.
Staff will also bring a report to budget deliberations for 2022 that will look at hiring a climate-change co-ordinator.
The person who fills that position would help direct future climate projects and initiatives.
