Toronto man charged with abduction granted bail

A 36-year-old Toronto man charged with abduction in Perth County has been granted bail.

Corygon Allicock appeared virtually from the Stratford Jail for a bail hearing on Thursday and was represented by defence lawyer Erik Van Drunen.

Perth County OPP charged Allicock earlier this month with Abduction of Person Under 14.

His bail comes with several conditions including that he live with two residential sureties, that he remain in the home 24-hours a day unless it’s a medical emergency or he’s with one of his sureties and that he have no communication with the alleged victim or anyone under the age of 14 unless it’s a family member and he’s with one of his sureties.

He’s also not allowed to come to Perth County unless it’s for court or a pre-arranged meeting with his lawyer and he’s also not allowed to have anything that can connect to the internet with unless it’s for a court appearance.

Allicock is scheduled to be back in court on December 13th.

A publication ban has been put in place for the court case therefore details about the victim will not be revealed.
