One person dead after collision near Thamesford

One person is dead and police are searching for a vehicle after a collision north of Thamesford.

Oxford OPP says the crash happened Tuesday afternoon on 15th Line.

Police say one person died after initially being transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The collision is now being investigated as a fail to remain fatality and police are currently looking for a vehicle with front-end damage.

The road is closed between Road 74 and McCarty Street and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
