First potential candidate to replace Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece steps forward

The first potential candidate to replace Perth-Wellington’s outgoing MPP has thrown his hat into the ring.
Matthew Rae says he will seek the PC nomination for the riding just a day after Randy Pettapiece announced he won’t be seeking re-election in the next provincial election.
Rae says he has over a decade of experience in both the public and private sector and is a graduate of the University of Guelph and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.
One of the main issues Rae points to in the riding is affordability.
“I know as a young person it’s very hard to purchase a home, I was lucky a few years ago to be able to purchase a home, honestly right now I wouldn’t be able to afford my home if it was on the market.”
The next Ontario election is scheduled for June 2nd, 2022.
