Perth County OPP searching for male suspect

Police are searching for a male suspect after an incident near Gowanstown.

Just before 2:30 Wednesday morning, Perth County OPP says they received a report of a suspicious vehicle at a business on Perth Road 164.

Investigators say the suspect had entered the fenced property in a vehicle and was in the process of stealing a trailer, and heavy equipment.

When officers arrived on scene, he fled on foot.

The suspect is described as male and was wearing all black at the time and police are now trying to determine if the vehicle was stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police or Crime Stoppers.
