Close to 500 new COVID-19 cases in Huron Perth, one new death

There are eight people in hospitals in our region with COVID-19.

Huron Perth Public Health have updated the number of patients being treated after the long weekend.

HPPH also reported 488 new cases along with one new death during the same time period.

The health unit cautions, however, that case counts are actually much higher than what’s being reported with PCR testing no longer available to the general population in Ontario.

A breakdown of cases by municipalities has been taken off of the HPPH website due to high case counts.
