Waterloo Police asking people to not help search for missing boy

The search continues for a missing boy in New Hamburg.

The 5-year-old disappeared yesterday afternoon.

At this point the Waterloo Regional Police are asking members of the public to not help out in the search along the Nith River.

The police say they appreciate the outpouring of support but the river represents a significant danger to people.
