Museum management says damage at St.Marys field will be costly to repair

A senseless act of vandalism.

That’s what management at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in St.Marys are calling damage caused at a field at the facility on the weekend.

Stratford Police say it looks like a larger pickup truck with heavily treaded tires drove in circles at a high rate of speed creating tires tracks throughout the field.

Scott Crawford, Director of Operations at the Museum, says whoever did the terrible damage knew what they were doing as they spent a long time on the field doing many, many donuts.

Not only will this be costly to repair, but Crawford says it will hurt the playing conditions of the field all season long.

Anyone with information on what happened is asked to call Crime Stoppers or SPS.
