Stratford group protesting health care cuts

The Stratford & Area Health Coalition is fighting back against healthcare cuts.

The organization is looking to send a bus filled with local residents to a rally next Friday in Toronto.

Haldie Wicke is one of the organizers of the trip.

She says cuts at Stratford General are prompting this action:

If the cuts go through, SGH will be losing nine rehabilitation and 13 complex continuing care beds.

Wicke says the cuts are going to make getting a bed at Stratford General harder:

The bus will be leaving Stratford on November 21st at 8:45 a.m. from 182 King Street.

If you’re interested in attending the rally you can reserve a spot on the bus by calling 519-271-19243.
