Perth County is one step closer to fully approving its 2022 budget.
County council has voted to give the green light to the budget in principle and it would bring with it a 5.92 % increase to the levy.
The Capital and Operating budgets for this year are just over $1 million higher than those in 2021 coming in at $18.1 million.
It works out to an increase of $21.59 for an average family in the area.
Council will have their final vote on the budget at their next meeting on February 17th.
