Construction on Phase 2 of the Britannia Street Affordable Housing Project in Stratford will be getting underway shortly.
City officials say Nith Valley Construction Limited will be starting work at the site next Monday and it’s expected to be completed in the spring of 2023.
The second building on the city-owned land will add 27 one- and two-bedroom affordable units to the local rental stock.
Rents will be set at 80% of the average market rent for the area.
Officials say the work will bring added noise but add construction hours will be limited to between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday to reduce the inconvenience caused.
