We now know who will be running for the Conservatives in Perth-Wellington in the provincial election.
Matthew Rae, a former public servant, won the PC nomination on Saturday.
Rae grew-up north of Harriston on his family’s dairy farm and currently lives in Mitchell.
He’s a graduate of the University of Guelph and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.

The nomination came open after current MPP Randy Pettapiece announced he wouldn’t seek reelection.
Meanwhile, Stratford city councilor Jo-Dee Burbach is the provincial NDP’s Perth-Wellington candidate.
The Ontario election is scheduled for June 2nd.
