OPP responds to 40 crashes during Tuesday’s snow storm

Today’s calm weather is a far cry from yesterday’s conditions.

The Perth County OPP says officers responded to 40 crashes during the storm.

Constable Kees Wijnands says drivers were taking too many risks:

However he added things could have been worse:

Police were encouraging people to avoid unnecessary travel even though most roads in our area remained open.

Wijnands says it’s not usually the OPP’s call to close the roads:

Drivers are being reminded to “go slow, when you see snow”.
