Invite fewer people, open windows and keep COVID-19 safety front of mind.
That’s some of the advice Huron Perth Public Health is giving out with holidays including Easter, Ramadan and Passover taking place in the midst of the pandemic’s sixth wave.
Huron Perth Medical Officer of Health Dr.Miriam Klassen says wearing masks in all indoor public settings is strongly recommended.
She’s also asking you to consider your personal health and the vulnerabilities of those around you when making plans for gatherings and holidays.
“These occasions are special for many people and usually involve spending time with others,” says Dr. Miriam Klassen, Medical Officer of Health for Huron-Perth. “Please consider your personal health and the vulnerabilities of those around you when making plans about gatherings and holidays.  Also think about the things that you can do to reduce the risk of transmission during a gathering, such as inviting fewer people, opening windows or increasing ventilation when indoors, gathering outdoors or virtually. HPPH also strongly recommends the use of masks in all indoor public settings.”
