Ontario PC’s commit to expanding Highway 7 between Kitchener and Guelph if re-elected

PC leader Doug Ford says his party has a plan to reduce gridlock in our region.

If re-elected on June 2nd, Ford says they would move forward with phase two of construction on the new 18-kilometre four-lane Highway 7 between Kitchener and Guelph.

The Liberal government approved the environmental assessment for the project in 2007 with the work then delayed several times.

The project would include two bridges being built over the Grand River that would connect the new portion of the highway to Highway 85 in Kitchener.

If the construction moves forward after the election, it would make driving through that area and to Toronto easier for Perth County residents.
