School board trustee running for the Ontario Green Party in Perth-Wellington

The Ontario Green Party candidate for Perth-Wellington says we need to think of issues we face through an environmental lens.

Laura Bisutti, a school board trustee with the Avon Maitland District School Board, says she decided to run in the election after the Green Party didn’t have a local candidate in the 2021 federal election.

She says she wanted to make sure the party was represented and she says the issue of the environment is extremely important because of our children and grandchildren.

Bisutti adds affordability is also at the top of her mind.

“We should be making a lot more affordable homes and not committing our youth to sixty-year mortgages.”

Also running in the June 2nd election, Ashley Fox for the Liberal Party, Matthew Rae for the PC Party, Bob Hosken for the New Blue Party, Jo-Dee Burbach for the NDP, and Sandy MacGregor for the Ontario Party.
