Perth County OPP is reminding off-road vehicle drivers about safety and obeying the law.
In the last five years, police have investigated 18 off-road vehicle collisions in the area including two fatal crashes.
Losing control, speed, alcohol consumption, lack of experience and overall carelessness are cited as the major contributing factors in the collisions.
Police say owners and operators of the machines are responsible for knowing, understanding, and following the laws.
That includes making sure you’re wearing an approved motorcycle helmet and that your vehicle is registered.
