UPDATE: One of two Stratford men charged with Grand Bend murder released on bail

One of two Stratford men charged in a stabbing death in Grand Bend has been released on bail.

Twenty-two-year-old Evan Radtke appeared in the Superior Court of Justice in Sarnia Friday morning where a judge approved his release.

He’s scheduled to be back in court on July 27th.

Radtke and 18-year-old Michael Compton each face second-degree murder charges for the death of 27-year-old Zachary Hartman from Exeter.

Compton is still in custody and is scheduled to be back in court next Thursday.

There is a publication ban on the court proceedings meaning many details will not be reported.

A Stratford man charged in a stabbing death in Grand Bend appeared in court Wednesday morning.

Stratford residents, eighteen-year-old Michael Compton and 22-year-old Evan Radtke face second-degree murder charges for the death of 27-year-old Zachary Hartman from Exeter.

Compton appeared briefly in court in Sarnia on Wednesday.

He was remanded back into custody and will appear again on June 9th.

Evan Radtke is scheduled to be back in court on Friday morning.

One of the two Stratford men charged in a Grand Bend stabbing death appeared in court Tuesday morning.

Stratford residents, eighteen-year-old Michael Compton and 22-year-old Evan Radtke face second-degree murder charges for the death of 27-year-old Zachary Hartman from Exeter.

Radtke appeared briefly in court in Sarnia on Tuesday and was told by a judge that he must apply to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice for a bail hearing.

He will be back in court on Friday morning.

Michael Compton is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday morning.

Two Stratford men charged with a stabbing death in Grand Bend will be back in court next week.

Stratford residents, eighteen-year-old Michael Compton and 22-year-old Evan Radtke face second-degree murder charges for the death of 27-year-old Zachary Hartman from Exeter.

Both appeared briefly in court in Sarnia Friday morning and were remanded into custody.

Radtke is scheduled to be back in court on Monday while Compton will return on Wednesday.

Twenty-one-year-old Madison Hicks from West Perth has also been charged with Accessory after the fact to Murder.

She will be released on bail on Friday and is scheduled to return on July 27th.
