Sections of St.Marys roads closed for quarry inflatable installation

Road closures will be in effect over the next two weeks as the Super Splash Waterpark is installed at the St.Marys Quarry.

Washington Street is closed between Water Street South and Wellington Street South until June 17th while crews build 60 concrete blocks to be used as anchors for the inflatable pad.

A helicopter will then be used to place the blocks into the swimming quarry with Water Street South closed, to local traffic only, between Line 3 and the quarry during the airlift.

That work is expected to take place from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. from next Tuesday to next Friday.

The St Marys Fire Department and Stratford Police are asking the public not to go to that area to observe the helicopter flight for safety reasons.
