It’s been 10 years since Stratford General Hospital became a Breast Assessment Centre.
The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is celebrating that milestone.
It was in 2004 that the hospital met the strict criteria of the Ontario Breast Screening Program to become a diagnosis to treatment facility.
Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer in Canadian women, with an estimated 22,700 new cases expected in the coming year.
