Sanitary work close to being completed in St.Marys

Here’s a heads up if you are planning on traveling through St.Marys.

A section of Queen Street East will be closed on Friday so asphalt repairs can be made.

A detour will be set up using Brock Street South, Jones Street, and St.Andrews Street South from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Huron Street South also remains closed between Queen Street East and Elgin Street East while Elgin Street East is still closed between Brock Street South and St. Andrews Street South

Officials say work on the sanitary sewer replacement is moving into the final stages.

Concrete and curb repairs and asphalt restoration are expected to take place over the next two to three weeks.
