Local entrepreneur running for Mayor in Stratford

Another candidate has thrown his hat into the ring to be the next Mayor of Stratford.

Larry McCabe grew up in the city and has been an entrepreneur for the past 24 years owning Pazzo Pizzeria.

He held the official launch of his campaign Wednesday afternoon with a number of supporters on hand.

McCabe says he has thought about entering politics for a while but the COVID-19 pandemic brought a number of issues to a head.

“We lost a couple of our people out to B.C., they lost their homes because they were sold during the pandemic, that really changed my thinking about where we are.”

Also running for Maror in Stratford in the October 24th municipal election is Deputy Mayor Martin Ritsma.
