Homecoming-Heritage Weekend in St.Marys

After being put off for two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Homecoming-Heritage Weekend has arrived in St.Marys.

Festivities begin Thursday evening with a free live performance, sports activities, and a free viewing of Spiderman No Way Home at Cadzow Park.

Events Coordinator Andrea Macko says there will be a full slate of events on Canada Day leading up to the Homecoming Parade at 5:30 p.m.

“The fun begins at 11 a.m. at Cadzow Park, there are free activities for the kids, there’s an artisans market, we have some live music, and our flag raising and land thanking ceremony is at 12 noon.”

Fireworks to celebrate the holiday will be set off at 10 p.m. from the centre of the Grand Trunk Trestle with more festivities on Saturday and Sunday.
