UPDATE: One person killed in collision near Palmerston

UPDATE: 4:52 P.M. Monday

Police have identified the person killed in a collision near Palmerston.

First responders were called out to the collision involving a passenger vehicle and a commercial motor vehicle on Line 91, west of Perth Road 140, around 11:45 Monday morning.

Perth County OPP says the driver of the passenger vehicle, an 87-year-old Palmerston man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other injuries reported and an investigation into what happened continues.

Perth County OPP have confirmed to MyStratfordNow.com that one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

First responders are at the scene of a serious collision in North Perth.

Police say the crash is in the area of Perth Road 140 and Line 91.

The roads around the intersection are currently closed.
